Folgers has come to realize the only reason I buy it is because it’s on sale. . . with a coupon.

Those yellow people are creepy. But I feel compelled to add that even though I don’t like the Folgers jingle by Rockapella (heard in poor quality in the first homemade commercial listed on that site and heard clearly in the second homemade commercial), I do love Rockapella. 🙂
The funny thing is watching this ad and the parodies made me do a YouTube search for the doo-wop Folgers commercial that people were pretending to sing and jive to. Call me crazy, but the actual ditty everyone was “karayoking” to (is that a word?) I personally find to be a pleasing blend of harmoney and melody. Of course I could be biased as I used to sing in a barbershop group…lol! Cool stuff though.
My only other thought here is that after the burned taste of Starbucks and Army coffee in my younger days, I rather enjoy the breakfast blend of Folgers. That and yeah – the yellow people are kinda like “eww” but “ha ha funny” at the same time. Thanks for making me smile though at remembering the original ditty! 🙂
