So yes, I was a slacker and didn’t keep bottled water on hand, so the other day was my fault. However, the only thing more obnoxious than being under a boil advisory is being under a boil advisory with a sick kid and wondering if maybe they had had some of the water before hearing about the warning.
Yes, I’m paranoid, but that’s my job.
Margo and I took the rugrats to Charles Towne Landing on Tuesday.
I’m getting used to the new writing schedule, with both the paper and the new site. Ivy and I are announcing a contest on Monday, so stop on by.
I’m hoping to return to my normal blogging as soon as I finish adjusting.

Speaking of Charlestowne Landing, I had heard that it was closed down for renovation. Is it open, after all? Is the “zoo” open? The boat? Tell me more – my kids haven’t been there in probably 15 years and I’d love to take the girls next weekend if it really is open.
The zoo is open, the new welcome center is gorgeous, with a nice museum portion.
We haven’t walked down to the boat yet, as my kids are still in the “leap off the dock” stage of life. I’ve seen more interpretor/reenactors around than I used to.
